Colin Evans, chairman of the Collinson Group has been awarded the 'Loyalty Lifetime Achievement Mega Award' at the prestigious 2011 Travel Mega Awards in Miami.
Evans was singled out for the award as an innovative leader in the loyalty business for 25 years and in recognition of the results he has delivered for clients. The awards evening, hosted by Freddie Laker, son of the late aviation pioneer Sir Freddie Laker, celebrated the most innovative and successful marketing campaigns and product development in travel during 2011.
Roger Williams, Managing Partner, Mega Awards says :"The Loyalty Lifetime Achievement Mega Award is a significant achievement and one that is only awarded every few years, specifically to recognise a professional whose career has significantly impacted airline loyalty. The decision was clear in selecting Colin Evans who has been a quiet but influential force in the business of airline loyalty marketing for many years. We congratulate Colin on his achievement."
Evans says:"This award reflects the efforts and achievements made over the years by employees of the Collinson Group and is testament to our depth of understanding of the traveller and the travel industry. Combined with our culture of innovation the Group has been increasingly successful over the years."
The Collinson Group is built on innovation - achieving many market firsts from the success of Priority Pass established in 1992 - the world's largest global lounge access programme launched to provide the independent traveler access to VIP airport lounges - to ICLP, recognised as a leading loyalty marketing agency with over two decades of experience in helping its clients around the world create more profitable customer relationships. The Collinson Group also owns Columbus Direct, the specialist award winning retail travel insurance brand selling in over 50 countries and the first UK travel insurer to sell insurance online.
Now a unique global business, the Group remains privately owned - a truly innovative and entrepreneurial company - with over 5m of its own customers, serving business to business clients in over 160 countries.
The Collinson Group has been built on a history of success within the travel and financial services sectors. The establishment of Collinson Latitude four years ago to serve growing market demands for innovative marketing and membership products reinforces Colin's commitment to continually invest in innovative technologies on behalf of the group's clients and customers.
